Competitive Baseball: (AAA/Majors)
Regular season games are scheduled Monday-Thursday leaving the weekends for tournament play. The seeding Tournament play begins in early March to determine placement in the Majors and AAA divisions. Regular season games begin early April 2012 and will conclude late June 2012. We offer teams for players ages 8-14.
- Pre-season AYL Seeding Tournament. This is a mandatory tournament for all competitive teams. All 8 year old AAA Division teams are placed in that division, therefore, the Seeding Tournament is not used to seed those teams. The Seeding Tournament dates will be announced mid January.
- Number of Games. CCompetitive league teams play an 18-game league schedule. Majors and AAA teams play their scheduled games during week nights to allow for tournament play on weekends.
- Duration of Season. The season runs from mid April through mid July 2012. Please be prepared for changes in schedules due to weather and other issues that may arise throughout the season.
- Post Season Playoffs and World Series. The top four (4) teams in the Mayors and AAA divisions will participate in a single elimination playoff against teams in their division culminating in the World Series for each division. The playoffs and World Series is scheduled for July 2012.
Competitive Baseball – Divisions of Play
